THE GUADALUPE ARCH by Judith Nicolaidis

On a dusty hillside in Maclovio Rojas, the poorest of Tijuana’s communities, stands a 20-foot-high mosaic archway designed and built to honor the Virgin of Guadalupe. How the artist was captured by the spirit and legend of the Virgin of Guadalupe and inspired to create this monument is the story of an artist’s journey from inspiration to community and creation. One viewer said she “could not imagine Mexico without it.”

The book is 8” x 5”, 56 pages, 57 color photographs, and includes images of other sculptures by the artist.
